Happy New Year!
Welcome to 2016! Hard to believe we have been back in class for over a week. We are steadily working on our Multicultural Banquet presentations from before the holidays. We will be presenting these beginning next week. Most students have uploaded their photos to their Google Drive but a few are still outstanding. If you could please help them transfer the photos either to Google Drive or to a memory stick, we can then do the rest in class.
Note that next Friday, January 22 is a Professional Activity Day for students, which means they do not attend class.
In Science, we have begun working on our second units: Conservation of Energy (Grade 5) and Electricity (Grade 6). Our end-of-unit projects will be: Construct an energy-efficient house (grade 5) and; design an electric device which uses several circuits (grade 6). Students are welcome to bring in materials for both these projects as we work towards completing them.
