Networking Troubles
I apologize for the lack of updates. As some of you may know, we have had network troubles throughout the school board for the better part of the last week. These troubles have prevented Internet access.
We wrote Quiz #1 on 'La géographie du Canada' this past Friday and students had the opportunity to correct their mistakes last night in order to earn additional points for their quiz. We also sent home another permission form regarding our use of the Google Apps for Education tools which students can access both at home and at school using their account logins. Part of this tool allows them to upload and download files from our 'Cloud' storage in much the same way as Skydrive or Dropbox works.
We are also working on our 'Ma vie en 2 minutes' video at school. Students who worked on this project at home will have the opportunity to make corrections to their project should they wish. As a final step, outlined below, students should export their video using the 'Save As' function in Windows Movie Maker or 'Export' in iMovie. The steps students should take are explained below (in French):

Après avoir ajouté toutes les photos, choisi les transitions en plus les effets visuels et enfin mis de la musique, ta vidéo est presque terminé. MAIS, il reste une étape très importante; de finaliser ton projet.
La raison la plus importante pour cette étape est pour pouvoir amener ta vidéo avec toi sur un baton USB ou télécharger à l'école avec ton Google Drive pour pouvoir montrer ce dernier à n’importe qui en utilisant n’importe quel ordinateur. Voici les étapes simples pour plusieurs logiciels:
Outils nécessaires: 1. logiciel de film, 2. baton USB ou accès à Google Drive|Dropbox|Skydrive
Windows Movie Maker (Windows 7): Tu trouveras la sélection dans le ‘File’ menu. Choisir ensuite ‘Save Movie’ ensuite ‘Recommended for this project’. Si tu n’es pas certain(e), demande à un parent ou à Monsieur T.
Windows Movie Maker (Windows XP): suivez les étapes qui sont à cet site web, http://www.ischool.utexas.edu/technology/tutorials/graphics/moviemaker2/save.html
iMovie (iMac): Cliquez ‘File’ menu et ensuite ‘Export’. Choisir la grandeur nécessaire (‘Large’ serait la meilleure choix).
Bonne chance et posez des questions en classe si vous en avez! Enregistrez (SAVE!) souvent et ne laissez pas ton projet à la dernière minute!
