Education Week!
Next week is Education Week. Here at Farley Mowat we have some wonderful activities planned which you are welcome to attend in support of your child’s education. Please see the note below from the Farley Mowat Staff: (this note is reproduced from the school website found here).
Dear Parent/Guardians:
Each year in May we have the opportunity to showcase our students and their achievements during Education Week. This year the week runs from May 5th – May 9th.
We would like to invite you into the school during the afternoon of Tues., May 6th, from 1:40 -3:00. The primary classes (K – gr. 3) will provide you with the opportunity to “Cuddle up and Read” with your child. You could bring in a special book from home or choose a favorite book from the classroom library. The junior division will be showcasing a variety of engaging activities depending on the teacher and grade. This school-wide afternoon gives you the opportunity to see your child/ren in their class environment celebrating their scholastic achievements.
Your partnership with us is important and we hope that you will be able to participate in this opportunity to celebrate your child/ren’s successes.

Tuesday, May 6th– Open House to all parents from 1:40 – 3:00
Wednesday, May 7th – Hike in Gatineau Park for grades 4, 5, 6, (English) and girls basketball team/primary division (grades 1, 2, 3) building insect homes for garden at front of school with a special guest
Thursday, May 8th – Hike in Gatineau Park for grades 4, 5, 6 (French)
Friday, May 9th – – Learning Buddies/Partenaire D’apprentissage from 1:40 – 3:00 – theme Active Learning
