A School Council Update:

Happy Friday everyone!

 

A couple of updates for you.

 

School Photos

Since we are using a new provider of school photos, they require us to return the proofs to them even if we order our photos on-line.  By the way, there are many more backgrounds to choose from on the internet site and it was super easy to do.  School photo retakes are scheduled for Wednesday, November 6.  At this time, the class pictures will also be taken.   The school is looking for feedback regarding experiences with this new provider.  If you have any feedback please forward this to the school.

 

Pizza Lunches (Grades 1-6)

Lunch forms will be going home in the next day or two.  The order forms are due back to the school next Wednesday, October 23, 2013.  Pizza Wednesdays will begin Wednesday, October 30 and run until Wednesday, March 5.  A second pizza lunch session will take place after March Break and run until the end of school.

 

Pizza Lunches (Kingergarten)

We will be starting the pizza lunches for the Kindergarten students in January.  Forms will be going home closer to that time.

 

FMPS Howlers

Many of our community members have participated in the Ottawa Race Weekend in the past- how about celebrating the 40th anniversary of this amazing event by "running for a reason"? You can have fun, keep in shape and support the Ottawa Hospital all at the same time by joining the FMPS Howlers. This team is open to anyone from the FMPS community- staff, parents and students! Go to Run for a Reason (http://ohfoundation.ca/our-events/run-reason) and follow the instructions to register for the race of your choice and to fundraise for the Ottawa Hospital. Gym Equipment

Do you have some extra soccer balls, skipping ropes, tennis balls and hula hoops lying around?  If they are in good condition, you can consider donating these to the school as they are always looking to supplement what is available at the school.  They will be providing us with a more detailed list of items that they are looking for as the year progresses.
