March Break

Despite the lack of warm weather, March Break has arrived. We have wrapped up a number of ongoing tasks: our energy/electricity science fair projects and our study of government/Canada's trading partners. Upon our returning from the break, our focus in Social Studies will be Ancient Civilizations (5s) / Explorers and Native Americans (6e) while in Science we will be getting into Structures and Mechanisms (5s) / Space & Flight (6s).

As we enter into spring, we will be also participating in additional activities. The grade 6s will be going to visit LDH for a tour of the intermediate program. LDH will be hosting a Parent Information Night on Thursday, April 24 at 7:00pm. More details will be available closer to the date.

Both grade 5s and 6s will be taking part in our annual Track and Field day in late May. With any luck the snow will even be gone by then! Finally, as we wind down the year in June, the grade 6s will be going away for their traditional sleepover camp to celebrate the end of their time at FMPS.
